Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Piano Day is a piano sheet-music practice app. We designed it to work without collecting your personal information. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
What we collect
Nothing is sent to us. We operate no servers that receive your data and we have no user accounts.
Data stored on your device
To make the app useful, the following is saved locally on your device only (in the app's local storage) and never leaves it:
- Your practice progress and practice time
- Pieces you save or recently opened
- Preferences (language, dark mode, keep-screen-awake)
This information stays on your device. Removing the app deletes it.
Third-party content
- Spotify previews. Some pieces embed an official Spotify player. If you play a preview, Spotify may process data under its own Privacy Policy. If you're offline, no preview loads and no data is exchanged.
- Sheet music. Scores are shown from public-domain editions; viewing them collects no data.
Analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous usage analytics using PostHog. This records events such as opening a piece, saving to your playlist, or switching tabs โ never your name, email, or account (we have none). The data is not sold and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
You can turn this off anytime in the app: You โ Usage data. If you're offline, nothing is sent.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
